Your levels are perfect…as long as you feel good. Wish mine where that great…I would only be able to get that low if i took way too much lantus in the eve, i split my dose, more in the am and less at pm. my sugar was 112 this am happy with that.
sounds like your mornings are good! i was waking up in the 60’s usually, so the doc changed my lantus so it wasn’t as low. not im in the 70-90 range too! it seems to make me go higher later in the day tho, since i don’t very much lantus in me for the whole day.
I have dawn phenom. This morning my bg was 114… which is one of the lowest I’ve ever had. Keep in mind I’m not on meds either. So I was pretty excited.
Mine usually are around 5 - but lately they’ve been hovering around 10 - ouch! I go to bed usually with a reading of 5 - and wake up with the same. I told my endo about this yesterday - but he didn’t say anything (he’s not too up on pumping) - so I’ll probably have to do a basal test and see what’s happening (wish I had the CGMS still!). I do know that I have the dawn phenomenom (not sure how to spell that - want to keep on going nom, nom, nom - like I’m doing yoga )
Jade, that’s why I started splitting my dose…still trying to get it better. For many, many years I was on too much basal insulin…just starting reducing and splitting about 2 months ago. Baby steps…
hi robyn! i think i should talk to my doctor about splitting doses. i think that would work out better for me. also thanks for the nice comment on my page. i hope your daughter has the best of luck in college!
Well this morning and for the last week mine has been about 360. Yeah I know and I take so much meds for it already it’s disgusting. Yep and I exercise and eat right too. I even go to the gym 4 days a week. And mainly eat veggies and fruit. I have become insulin resistant and am going on a pump. Something better work before I just throw my meds away and say forget it.
