I mean the name "tudiabetes".
in spanish it means "your diabetes".
Thanks, pancreaswanted. Is that the meaning behind the name of this site too or just a possible explanation?
Manny, the dude that started the site is venezuelan and the spanish site is called estudiabetes (its your diabetes), so i think its the meaning behind the name. maybe Manny will come on here and explain.
Thanks again. I´m norwegian and spanish didn´t even cross my mind when trying to figuring out the meaning behind the name.

I second that :)
Siri, I had the same question and couldn't come up with the answer either. I developed my own answer.
There are a lot of different diabetes "types" - Type 1, Type 2, Type 1.5, Type 3, etc, etc, but regardless of which Type YOU have, it is YOURS. Using this as a background, I then reasoned that in this age of hip, fast-paced, emoticon and texting world, "you" gets shortened to "u" frequently, so ....
type u diabetes
OR
tudiabetes
It's Spanish for "your".
i like that!
Thanks for asking Siri, I've been wondering myself.
And thanks for clarifying everyone.
