I love hearing other diabetic's diagnosis stories and any other kind of weird, scary or interesting experiences. Do tell!
Oh, I suppose I should start...
I was diagnosed in 8th grade. For 2 weeks or so, I had what seemed like a sinus infection or the flu. I was exhausted no matter how much sleep I got (which was a LOT at that point!) and of course, drinking gallons of water and going to the bathroom literally every hour. once I got to 67 pounds, my mom realized something was seriously wrong and took me in. I am told I looked like a walking skeleton or a severe anorexic. The diagnosis was easy, since my BG was off their meter, which went to 1000. The only thing I was upset about was thinking I couldn't eat any more sugar!
