I belive like Dave in the preceeding comment about the undetected diabetes. If it isn’t caught in time or if the person is in denial and the complications grow faster. When you control the problem we can slow down the problem. As I get older I can see the high and lows coming more apparant and going too low that hits like a theif in the night.
