780g G4 - data summary?

I just started using the G4 sensor and the Smart Guard program. I had been using Dexcom for a number of years, and loved viewing the data summary presented in Clarity. But, I cannot find the equivalent for the 780g G4. Does it exist?

Thanks,
Mike

Do you have a Medtronic Carelink account? Once you upload your pump/CGM data to there you can generate a whole host of different charts that summarize the data.

Thanks.

I thought there would be a separate app, like Clarity. I had tried logging into CareLink on their web site, but got an error of a mismatch of user name and PW. When I upgraded to the 780g, the tech walking me through it set up my account; a big help; but, he mis-spelled my last name and a wrong e-mail address, and so my info was mismatched.

I also had intermittent connection issues between the sensor and the pump, consequently I was going high during the day without correction bolus’ being given. The sensor failed this morning at 1 AM.

Sounds like you need to get ahold of tech support to get that fixed.

The Minimed Mobile app will only really show you the same info you can see on the pump screen so other than using it upload pump data to Carelink I don’t find it all that useful. You can set it so that pump alarms will also alarm on your phone, but for me that’s redundant. I’m not aware of any app that will show you the data like what’s available in Carelink.

By the way, for a failed sensor you can go to the minimed store and request a replacement free of charge.

I was encouraged to read of others success with the G4/780g, and decided it was time to try it out. But my experience with the G4+780g was not great. I had two sensors after a few days say it had to be replaced (yes, I had asked for MM to replace them), and one that continuously read lower than BG meter check; and, after repeated attempts to calibrate would still drift down; I had the data on xDrip+, and it showed a lot of noise that the pump/app smoothed over. The SmartGuard suspended insulin each time. One sensor worked great. Having only 1/4 being dependable is less than desirable. I also noticed that when on Smart Guard it was giving me half the manual basel, and my BG average was running much higher. It did not correct highs adequately, even with very aggressive settings, and I had to add a correction bolus.

I have had very few issues over 2 years with the G7, and my own basel pattern. So for now I will stick with what I have been doing. I have been pumping for almost 30 years now, and am confident in knowing what I am doing. My last A1C was 5.5.
