In the Netherlands the first artificial pancreas is almost ready for production. It will probably go on the market in 2016 in the Netherlands and then in a few countries in Europe and then worldwide.

There are two children who have been fitted with an artificial pancreas in Australia. My impression of it was that it looked like a pump but worked automatically. It is said to be successful.
