When one pump goes under, usually all of the pump companies offer special deals. I use an Animas Vibe which has definite pluses and minuses. But do your homework as though you are buying a new pump before you blindly sign on with Animas. Since the Omnipod is a modular pump, I think the start-up cost is very low. Obviously I don’t know what Animas’ deal will be nor what the options with Tandem, AccuChek, and Medtronic might be.
