Bad start. :(

The electronic log never dies either. :stuck_out_tongue: You back up the file on an external hard drive and you have it forever. hehe. AND it’s a lot more accurate and reflective of everything that went on during a certain period.

Back it up multiple times if you want redundancy.

@ClaudandDaye, adults like to argue pros and cons of pumps versus MDI ad nauseam. For a kid, pump is simply the best tool available - end of discussion. I am sure you’ll figure out how to keep the pod securely attached. Yes, one has to keep an eye on potential site failures, so fine.

I know there are a few companies out there that make bands for this problem. The only one I can remember is bands4Life. They make arm, thigh and stomach bands for both children and adults. Not sure if this would help or if anyone knows the names of the other companies out there. Tally Gear also has some cool stuff. Good luck!

Thanks for this!

Except for when someone cruises past the external drive with a vacuum cleaner. Which happened. True story.

Actually, the whole subject is academic for me since the only way I would ever have a pump would be to pay for it out of pocket. And that’s not happening, not in this life.

Yeah, I’d be singing a different story myself probably if not for the Insurance.

Do we have any threads about people who have funded pumps out of pocket? I have a friend who self funds the omnipod. It’d be interesting to see how the people who are paying for them out of pocket are doing it, discounts they’re finding, what their total costs end up being? Etc. don’t recall ever seeing it discussed here.

You’d think that keeping the drive on the desk would be safe, wouldn’t you? Nope. Dust Buster. Cleaned it nicely. In BOTH senses.
