Does anyone know if BCBS of Florida covers on going Omnipod supplies? I am currently with Aetna and now I have been dropped as of Jan1st 2010 from my spouse’s medical plan. I will have BCBS at the beginning of the year through my employer. I am starting the Omnipod THIS WEEK. Can anyone advise me on their experience if any with BCBS of Florida and what your costs were - especially for the monthly supply of pods?
BCBS Texas does. My plan pays 80%.
Wow thats great. I have been wanting to switch to the pod, but we were worried they wouldnt cover it. You seriously just made my day lol Going to get mom so she can read this asap
My educator did the work for me I think. She submitted all the medical necessity forms etc. I hoping for the same to get a dexcom soon.
You might want to contact their member services deparment and ask specifically if any of your daibetic supplies are covered as durable medical equipement by a durable medical equipment provider. Some are atleast in Southeastern PA
I have BCBS in PA but it’s through the state and they don’t cover the omnipod at all.
I would call customer service personally before starting a new pump just to be sure which pumps they’ll cover.
