Can you produce ketones with normal blood sugars?

I eat a protein based diet, and i exercise alot… but sometimes i get the fatigue, dry mouth, just overall crappy feeling, and i check my blood sugar and they are completely fine… and normal. I was wondering if ketones is something that only happens with high blood sugars, and if it does happen with normal blood sugars is it something to worry about?

I have never checked for ketones before because my sugars have never been high enough and rarely go over 160, I also don’t have the urine strips… but sometimes i wonder

Yeah, you can get ketones if you don’t eat.
