Children and Intense Sports

My 9 year old plays hockey and football and we are still learning how to manage.

We took our health care providers advice about avoiding lows so we
diluted gatoraid to keep him from going low. We’d suspend/disconnect right before he hit the ice and reconnected in the dressing room
right after.

We found he was spiking and not going low at all (took us almost a year
to figure it out). We were told it was adreneline and he would come
down quickly…not the case.

Anyone have advice on intense sports pre prep and post management?

He’s on a MM522 (coming up on 1 year of pumping this June).
