Contact Detach now available with 31" tubing :)

I don’t know how new they are, but I don’t think I saw them in the Animas store when I was looking a few days ago.

I prefer the Orbit Micro’s, but I can’t seem to get the company to connect me with somewhere that sells them where I can go through my insurance. So the contacts are a close second, and now with longer tubing they’ll be much easier to wear wherever I want - that was honestly my biggest gripe about them before, the tubing was just too short.

It will be interesting to see if they are like the MM Sure-T’s which were redone with finer needles as well.

wow this is great! they used to have 31" tubing almost two years ago for every infusion set if i remember correctly, but i was regretably informed over a year ago that they were discontinued. i hope the 31" tubing is available for all the sets!
it seems that 43" is way too long, the tubing gets caught on stuff, and theres about 20 units of insulin being wasted filling up the tube every few days.

What’s interesting is that I was poking around on the unomedical site, and they seem to suggest that it is available with the longer 43" tubing too. I know from the Orbit Micro’s that 31" is a great length for me… perfect for arm sites, or for leg sites lower than my hip (I haven’t cut holes in my pockets to run the tubing through, so it has to loop over the waist).

Hi Sarah -

OK, maybe I’m just thick - but I don’t get the Contact Detach thing - why have TWO things attached to your body? What’s the benefit? I tried one and it took me about 2 hours before I had gotten in between the two (going to the bathroom) and yanked it out!

email me at bdannybee i can tell where to get them
