May I ask how does this relate to diabetes and diabetes related issues? How does it relate to the original post or even bjm2363 post? Why didn’t you create another thread?

[/quote] It relates to the OP because I questioned the original headline in the first place - B. B. King died due to a series of mini-strokes due to Type 2 diabetes. I didn’t even see bjm’s gig until now, what does IT have to do with the OP?? LOL - I hope we learn the truth of what happened to the Awesome B.B. King legend. I’ll be singing the blues until I know for sure.
Well, the coroner I would think is the final say when a person expires. Based on what I’ve read and what you posted in the article, the daughters are making an accusation not an actual medical fact of how he died.
I think bjm was latching on the point of the stroke relating to dementia mentioned in the original article.
I don’t know what they will find, it is going to take six to eight weeks to learn that. I did not write the article so can’t claim it mine, but it did grab my interest. I am not arguing or questioning or stating anything…B.B. King’s daughters are. There must be some question since the Clark County, Nevada coroner’s office and the Las Vegas PD are rechecking the original coroner findings.
This is just another headline in the thread. I hope they find he died peacefully if nothing else. It is real sad to learn that his kids think he was poisoned. None of his wishes are being granted. Nothing I have read suggests he suffered dementia. His own explanation was that he was in hospice care at his home after being hospitalized in April with dehydration related to diabetes.
More to follow?!? Be well while we wait, Kate.
Yes you are correct Kate. Since the original post was focused on complications related to diabetes, I thought that was the focus and important to discuss on a diabetes forum for the reasons you mentioned before… Thanks
Me too! Actually at age 73 , i have seen a few 80+ year olds who have health problems other than diabetes, and I’m not sure I want to get to be that old.
I’m almost 85. Yes, you want to get to be that old.
Trudy,
If you are 85 and in good health, more power to you. I’m very happy for you. I don’t think my friends with emphysema and Alzheimer’s, both terminal, would agree. To each his own I guess.
