My name is Eva Glieberman and I am a master’s in public health student at brown university. I am currently conducting a research project on diabetes. The project examines the link between depression and type 2 diabetes.
The survey should only take 5-10 minutes and all responses are anonymous and confidential. Furthermore, most questions resemble the topics discussed on the site and so hopefully could provide a beneficial experience to survey takers. For those who participate, I can offer a write-up on the correlation between type 2 diabetes and depression and provide a copy of the paper’s results.
well for me, working in the medical field all my life, and seeing what diabetes can do to you, im refering to loss of limbs, mainly legs…blindness, etc. and now that i have diabetes, and getting up in years, i think of death…when i have bad days of hurting all over, and even walking becomes a reminder of slowing down…see i used to love to walk all over the place…aside from diabetes, i need surgery on both my knees, what scares me is the recovery period…we dont heal as normal people do.
I will be happy to take your survey and give you feedback on how it affects me emotionally. I am still angry that I have diabetes the denial is gone. Now I seem to be going into the acceptance stage. It took me nearly 2 years and I still have issues I need to resolve.
