Describe D as a carnival ride

Riding your blood sugar up and down with no end in sight------So is it one where you can switch to a seat that doesn’t move? I have seen some with a bench, I would like to sit down every once in a while. Saddle sores aren’t that much fun. And I hope it has better music than most, that would get old.

I ALWAYS call it a “roller coaster”…up down, up down…as fast as you chase with the insulin it never quite catches up and down you go, then you eat (too much) and up it goes. The desire to “stuff as much as you can into your mouth at one time” is like eating pop corn on a roller coaster and wanting to throw up at the end of it !!!
Yeah, I LOVE it…and with female hormones to boot…ha…!!

Ok, now I am feeling sick…LOL…

Before Six Flags New England, there was a theme park called Riverside. We had a bunch of old rides that were made out of wood (splinters and all!) and it cost $8 per day to get in! (with a Coke can for discount)

At Riverside, there was a ride called The SlingShot. It was a long, narrow ride- basically a long bench. Once everyone was loaded onto this long bench, it would sway from side to side. You end up leaning on people you’ve never met.

Then, the ride would swing up into the air, leaving you suspended for a few seconds (high) and then dropping you back down (low). Repeat. It’s a swinging motion, but you and all those strangers are in on it together, on this long bench.

While dropping, you’re grasping onto the lapbar- which is never ever tight enough to keep you in your seat completely. You feel completely helpless and unprepared, thinking “I should’ve brought a strap to lock myself in!” Your heart is palpitating and drumming in your ears. No matter what you do, you can’t get off the ride until it’s done.

And that’s it. Being strapped into a long ride, splinters in your ■■■, not feeling entirely comfortable, swinging up and down, from side to side, and accidentally leaning on anyone who’s around.

L O L, life in a nutshell for sure, thanks for the laugh

I knew yours was going to be good Marps–That does paint a picture of diabetic life. ROTFL
