Dexcom dots

Does anyone find that their dexcom misses a reading at the 5 minute mark and will show 2 readings at the 10 minute time frame?

I have not noticed that, but generally I just glance at number and trend.

The transmitter is the “brain”, reading from sensor, can store several bg readings. Every 5 minutes it “broadcasts” the bg values, likely many more than just the most recent one. So your phone, receiver or pump will pick up any that might have been missed.

Various things can make the “receiver” be out of range, or Bluetooth issue that prevents reading to show up on initial send, but will usually catch up.

What device is showing your numbers?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8. I will be sooo happy when my cgm and pump can communicate together. I have a medtronic 630g.

I’ve never seen that observation.
One of my receivers is a non-supported LG G4 Android running the G6 (modified build?) app.
When there is signal loss between transmitter & phone, the application will show a lack of dots. When phone is again ‘close enough’ to the transmitter, the application graph updates in about 120secs, & populates correctly; however I’ve never seen the ‘doubling’ of a data point. Mind you, it is early in my driving experience, only flying this G6 / Tandem rig for 21.35 days, not that I’m counting!
