I don’t hear much talk on the connection between elevated liver enzymes and diabetes Type 2 (NAFL). I have had liver issues for over 10+ years but doctors only ever checked me for Hep C and thought I was drinking. Now for the last 5/6 years I am told I am type 2. It has been mostly ignored by my primary care because after chemo for breast cancer I took my own health in hand and have done my best to control through diet and exercise. With a few mis-steps it all has recently reared its ugly head again. I have an appt. next week. I feel like I have slipped through the medical cracks and didn’t even hit me until recently to see a specialist.
Does anyone have similar story and problems? Take medication for and do okay?
