On my previous insurance, I was seeing an endo, well, seeing her about once a year and her nurse practitioner every 3 months. When I changed insurance, my new doc thought I didn’t need to see an endo as I was pretty well controlled and at that time I agreed with her. But I have been having issues this past year (see my blog entry yesterday) and her approach seems to be: well, let’s try this, let’s try that, and I’m thinking of asking for a referral to an endo. I did find one in the insurance plan about a half hour way, along with a diabetic nurse.
