Does part B medicare cover syringes, CGMs, and In-pens

Free of charge? I signed up for one of the advantage plans that covers the doctors/hospital I use. So when I do my deductible, will that just be for insulin and my other drugs? they treat insulin like a drug but the stuff used to deliver insulin as durable medical equipment. I wonder if it varies from state to state. I had asked another medicare question in the past, but it was not this one.

Thanks.

Part B does not cover insulin or syringes. You need part D to get coverage for insulin (when not delivered by pump) and syringes.

Part B does cover insulin, but only if used in a pump. it is covered as a durable medical device int he case of a pump. Otherwise if insulin is purchased for injection it is covered as Part D under the prescription dug benefit.

I don’t have a pump so it wouldn’t be covered. My insulin pen is covered (from what I understand) but not the insulin cartridges that go inside. (this would be part D). I am sure I’ll have the joy of exploring this all in depth sooner than I’d like.
