Hello - I know this topic has been discussed before…just can’t seem to find it! So…I am curious…for those of you that have used sensors past the expiration dates…how many weeks or months have you used them successfully past the expiration date?
My insurance is ending sooner than I like…so I have purchased some extra sensors and I will be wearing some of them a month to 2 months past expiration. I hope they work and that I am not wasting money on them. Dexcom reps say its the enzyme on the wire (in the body) that detects our sugar levels and that once the enzyme drys up (around the expiration date) the sensor will no longer work. Seems to make sense…just wondering how much success is out there with expired sensors. Thanks!
