My grandmother got insulin in 1924, in the nick of time for her, I'm sure they weren't expecting a long life for her either. She raised a family (or I wouldn't have had a chance to be born), and lived another 40 years, amazing. All those who had to try to navigate D without data to go on are rock stars in my book too.:)
Same with me Emily! I’m going on my 51st year with D and can relate to the empowerment of beating it.
