Fingerstick accuracy - Left Hand v Right

I've notice that my left hand fingers give much more accurate and up to the moment blood sugar readings than my right hand fingers. It's almost as if the readings I get from my right hand fingers are on tape delay, showing where my blood sugar was 10+ minutes ago.

Is it just me? Or is there something about blood from your left hand fingers that gives you a more accurate reading?

How do you know the left hand is more accurate?

I wondered that, too. I recently did a calibration on start up of my Dexcom and used my pinkies on both hands. I got exactly the same result. I was very amused. Usually they are a few points apart. I’m left-handed and liberal, so I always feel the left is more accurate.

I can get different readings from different fingers as well as different hands

You lefty liberal you, are you artistic as well.

All of us were born right handed but very few of us had enough intelligence to over come the handicap!!! hahaha

^^^^ so true lol
im a happy lefty as well
maybe the readings are that way because its pumped around that way  lol

Yes I have noticed that there can be a difference between which hand I use so I usually just switch it up and if my reading seems inaccurate I test on the other hand.

I’m curious as to how you have determined that your left hand is more accurate than your right hand. Even two readings from the same drop of blood will likely be different, so I’m not sure how you can determine that an entire hand is more accurate than another.
