Heard somewhere that the garmin can read your pump and display your blood sugars. Is that true? I am thinking of getting the 800. My 410 watch only last 4 to 5 hours. I am not that fast to complete a Century in 4 to 5 hours.
Thanks
Getting ready for the Tour De Cure in Cleveland!!! 1200 miles so far this year.
Not likely. I have a Garmin 700, the older style, and a Paradigm 522 with CGM. I can confirm that is not able to connect to the pump. I'd be so quick to switch if it were true though!
As for comparing an Edge to a Forerunner, the Edge is a great tool for riding with. The Forerunner seems to be best at after-ride analysis, whereas the Edge can show you more data, legibly, with maps. And when you travel, the Edge can double as a vehicle navigation too, for those of us who don't yet own a smartphone.
Wouldn't that just be awesome? My wife, at the finish, could follow me via Garmin Connect on her tablet, and see my Cadence, speed, distance traveled, and Blood Sugars. Oh, wouldn't it be lovely.
