Getting a pump for my nine year old

Yes, I have factored this in too, increased sensitivity will buy you some time, but it can only go so far.

Theres also times where I will be just floating around the pool with my tube and a beer being a total lazy man, very little activity, that is where the pump would still need to be connected for sure.

Lol! That is clearly what I need, a nice bottle of liquid bread!

Okay, Thanks.

I just checked out both sites, and they are nice. They even have kids belts. Thanks.

I have the tally one - LOVE it, very snug fit. If you want something a little different let them know, the woman is really nice.

Thanks Kari - I guess that is one less phone call tomorrow!

i wear the animas and i absoultly love it

I am also considering the Animas Ping! My first pre-pump class is in April. Pumps sound SO much easier than shots. I got a packet from Animas and they compared them to other pumps. I have researched 2 other pumps and the Animas is by far the best one for me. I cant wait until I get the pump!

I have the MM 722, because I wanted the combined pump and cgms when I finally decided to become a pumper. After a summer spent at the waterpark, I am switching to the Animas as soon as the MM dies (it is not broke, so I don’t fix it - but when it dies, I want waterproof.) I cannot unhook when I am in the water all day, life is not bearable. The Aquapac was my lifesaver, but I had to put the pump in the pac, and hope it stayed dry to go get wet. Kept the pump attached to me, and if I ever begin using the Animas I will probably put the pump in the Aquapac, why take the chance, but for a kid that just goes and runs through the sprinkler or rides the bike through that wonderful mud puddle - lol - why take a chance with the MM. I Dexcom it now for the CGMS, so that reciever is not waterproof - that I can live with, as being hooked to the Dex is not required. The pump on the other hand is my lifesaver! Good luck!
