How much do you actually trust your pump?

10 years pumping and 50 years of injections...

I trust it with my life. And think it changed my life. I have had a few problems, never hospitalization, and Medtronic has been quickly responive if a problem happens. I think the pump has rescued me from complications...

But the trust comes from learning. I learn daily, and it changes daily, but when I get it right, it is great. Most problems end up being user (ME) error.

Never had a delivery problem caused by a pump malfunction.

I trust my pump more than I do myself, meaning people are not perfect and I think it’s far more likely that I will make a mistake or error vs a pump malfunction that ends up wreaking havoc with blood sugars.

I’ve been pumping for 11 1/2 years now and while I’ve had several warranty replacements none have caused problems for me. Most have not affected insulin delivery and when it has the pump stopped delivery and alarmed quite loudly both Medtronic and Animas.
