HAHA! I think it should say “Sugary” on it. LOL! Hmmm…Now, I am wanting one! LOL!
I don’t know if I can do Mid-riff though - I always hated it when people let their fat fly free for all the public to see. (hey, that rhymed!). I don’t think I should be one of those. I hide my fat. But than again it IS for a good cause… I’ll have to think about it.
there’s an idea! Ha ha!
Yeah, do they still have those “Health Education” classes now in schools? I think we had one but I can’t remember if it was high school or grammar school. (boy, i old!). They went over “public” diseases and of course, ehem, touched on sex “stuff” and everyone in the room got all tense.
I like onesaints idea : “diseases and you”. Sad but we might need a required classes like that one day.
I seem to remember a TV commercial for a one of the diseases (aids/hiv or cancer maybe?) where they had all these people one by one and they were all different - fat, thin, black, white, asian, old, young, etc. and they would all say “I have (insert disease here)”. Anyone remember this commercial? I think it was for breast cancer but not sure. We should have the same commercial for diabetes. Fat, thin, all ages and races - no discrimination.
And on the back it will say “Ask me about my Type 2 diabetes”. Everyone will be all puzzled at my being thin than. I wonder if they would actually ask me anything?
There was a great poster that is popular in Drug and Alcohol programs, KimKat. It has a picture of a group of people of all races and ethnicities, all ages, all economic and class “types” (construction worker, business person, student, etc) and says “this is what an alcoholic looks like”. The idea was to break the stereotype that all alcoholics look like bums. Imagine a group (VERY LARGE) portrait of all us “Tu-sters”!
