I think Dexcom saved my life

To make a long story short, I bolused a large amount of insulin. After a short while, suddenly, Dexcom began beeping. My blood sugar was plummeting.

And it was plummeting fast - from mid 200s to 180s to 150s to 130s within 10 minutes.

If I waited for the 3-hours after breakfast to test my blood sugar, I might have passed out by then. Or worse.

I was freaking out, until my brother (yay for nepotism!) brought me a carafe of orange juice. (Unfortunately, freaking out did not raise my blood sugar or slowed the plummet. Darn liver not releasing sugar due to stress on demand.)

I’m really, really loving my Dexcom.

and that’s why we put up with the beastie… Been there (both before and after getting my Dex). After is a lot better. Take care…

Glad to hear that the Dex alerted you to the impending low. It truly is a lifesaver, or at least a disaster saver.
