I have a Ping - same answer as christy. The settings only regulate how much isulin you get, regardless of how much is in the reservoir. No changes to any settings needed.
I ended up calling medtronic..I filled the reservoir with 150 units though and then filled the canula, which I think took 10 units, but then the pump only measured 115 units in the reservoir. So I'm confused about that. That would make 125 units. There were some tiny air bubbles at the top of the reservoir so I wonder if that had anything to do with it?
When you prime, insulin fills the tubing. That could explain it.
Yes I usually end up priming my tubing with anything between 7-9 units, and that amount is deducted from what's available in the reservoir
Maybe you filled it with a little less than 150 mL? Only the 180 mL line is clearly met on my 523.
