Insulin Pumping and CGM

I found out not long ago that my insurance is now covering the CGM. I am now using it and so far I'm liking it. It is a little more complicated to learn than the pump but Im getting there.

Is there anybody else who is new to using the CGM? Please let me know how you like it.

If you’re on the MM CGM and it’s less than 30 days since you started, and you are finding it to be a royal pain in the @$$, then please consider returning it and getting full refund. Go for the Dexcom 7+ CGM instead. It’s the easiest and most accurate CGM available…and you’ll really like it.

I used to be on the MM CGM and was extremely disappointed by its performance and the pain it causes upon insertion, and the gaping holes it left in my body upon removal. Thankfully, I was reading up CGM posts in the forum and switched to Dexcom 7+. The difference was like night and day.

hi, glad your ins. is covering the cost of cgm for you. i’m on medicare with the blues as supplemental and cgm is not covered by them in michigan. i need to find a secondary insurance that will cover cgm. i see you’re in michigan. could you give me the name of the company you’re with. it would be a great lead for me. thanks

I’m sorry it took so long to answer. I’m with B.C.B.S. of Michigan PPO. It’s through my husband’s employer.
