Things have been busy lately, I’m sure you all have missed my witty comments! Pumping seems to be settling down some now, still fiddling with basal rates a little, but it looks better from where I’m sitting.
My son is a freshman in high school this year and baseball tryouts are in a few weeks. We’ve gotten him some pitching and batting lessons to get him ready for them. I usually catch when he’s having a pitching lesson so the instructor can watch his mechanics. Brings up an interesting thought. I have to be sure to wear my pump on my right side so I can turn it away from him when he throws. I wear a mask (he got me right above the eye last year, got a scar. His comment “It’s ok dad, chicks dig scars”) but don’t have one for my pump. Not sure how well it would react to 60 or 70 MPH fastball. I know my ankles don’t like them!
For the Superbowl, I guess I’ll root for the Steelers. Football in Kansas City is still kinda up in the air. We need a new head coach and defensive coordinator, at least. I imagine more coaching changes when the new head coach gets here. Pretty much a entire change in management. The Chiefs hired the Patriot’s GM who fired the coach who had a crappy record. I think someone may have swallowed a fly in there too.
Big excitement for the rest of the week is that we may see temperatures above freezing! I know a lot of folks have had it a lot worse, but it will still be nice.
Have a great day!
Scott
Today’s snarky comment: It’s one thing to have an open mind, it’s another to let your brains fall out.

Glad to have you back.
