Is it too much to ask?

That the FDA not make stupid decisions about healthcare technology? I just spent several days trying, once again, to get my blood sugar dat from CGM to show up on the same screen as my insulin pump data. But guess what, diasend software will download data from both devices, but will not show the CGM data due to FDA restrictions.

I cannot tell you how tired I am of not being able to fully use all the data from all the systems I use. We are told we must be our own advocate, we are shown we must manage our disease on our own or suffer the consequences, and we support a multibillion dollar industry that has at every step thrown unnecessary hurdles our way.

If it is true that FDA is the reason we cannot see pump and CGM data on the same screen, what possible reason would be behind such an asinine restriction?

FDA lead, follow, or get the hell out of our way.

I agree. What does the FDA have to do with our data? Right now I am trying to "prove" that my A1C (5.2-5.5 for years) is due to tight management - not lots of lows averaged in with lots of highs. Even though the endos downlowd my pump - where I enter everything becuz I use more than one meter - they still think my A1C is too low. My Dexcom4 data would prove it to them. And I feel the need to prove it - cuz my Rx's are depending on it.
