Just got back from this year’s JDRF walk! This is the fourth year Lara’s League has participated . . . and it just keeps getting better. It’s still so great to see so many people rally around for the same great cause! It reminds me that I am not alone in this world and so many other people know what it’s like to go through day to day with diabetes. There’s hundreds of people who gather 'round for their loved ones - whether it be a child, a parent, a grandparent, a co-worker, a friend, or an aquaintance. To have my family come out and support me means so much more than they can ever know. While growing up, my sister didn’t fully understand what it was like to have diabetes. They still don’t know everything, but they’re willingess to come out and support me shows me that they care enough to learn! It just gets so much more awesome each year, and I cannot wait until next year. If you have a JDRF walk around you, I encourage you to go (:
