Which is worse: being blind or being diabetic? My latest blog post reflects on this and related issues.
What another thoughtful blog post. I know that many of us curse the day we got diabetes and wish that our lives were different, but these things "are what they are." And as you note, being healthy, but uneducated in abject poverty in a war torn country is hardly "better." I really don't like having diabetes (and I know you don't like being blind either), but I won't let it stop me from striving to lead a happy and fulfilled life.
