I received a letter that said Freestyle test strips (certain lots) were having trouble, and it identified several Freestyle meters including the lite meter. I have stopped using the Freestyle and am now using the Accu-Chek Compact Plus , anyone else have trouble and need to change? I hope you all think the Accu-Chek Compact Plus is a reasonable alternative.
I had trouble with the freestyle lite giving high readings for which I would then give a correction and then end up hypo. I think it was often off by as much as 30mg/dl! Also had trouble with the accu-check Aviva so I have now gone back to my more reliable OneTouch Ultra or mini…they seem to be the most accurate for me. Do you still have the link or can you post the letter about the Freestyle?
