Living with Diabetes

I got a book from the library today called Living with Diabetes by Dr John L. Day and it's been fantastic. Really informative, clear, honest and yet reassuring. Highly recommend for those newly diagnosed.

That is great! Read as much as you can then you will be able to sort through a lot of what you have read. You need basic information first. There is so much to learn. Of course you can ask all sorts of questions here. And people will know what you are talking about.

I don't know that one Harry, but that doesn't mean it isn't good. Learn all you can, and yes, ask questions here. these are the two books everyone always mentions here as being the most helpful
Gary Scheiner, Think Like A Pancreas, (Boston: Da Capo Press, 2011)

John Walsh et. al., Using Insulin, (San Diego: Torrey Pines Press, 2003)

we've had Gary Scheiner on the live interviews multiple times (check out our videos) and here's his very informative website

Hi Harry! I, too, am fairly new to this diabetes thing (6 mos). I second Marie’s recommendation for Think Like a Pancreas. It was the first one I read and helped me immensely. It is also available digitally. And now I have to check out your rec. Thanks for the info!

Way to go, Harry!
The more you know, the less stress!
