Medtronic advisory

Medtronic is in process of issue an advisory notice regarding the 630g and 670g pumps. This is not a recall.

The advisory regards the ring where the reservoir is inserted into the pump. The ring is a clear plastic piece around the lip of the reservoir opening. If that plastic ring is broken the pump can dispense to little or to much insulin.

This is the link to the actual notice. Official notices are being mailed to users. If the ring on your pump is damaged, it is strongly advised that you stop using it and contact Medtronic for a replacement pump.

Note: I am a Medtronic ambassador. My opinions are my own. They did not pay me to say nice things. OK, they sent me a shirt and a cup but even I am more expensive than that.
