It was bound to happen. I’m sure other pumps have issues too, just not identified yet.
This issue has been discussed before, it just came with the FDA releases I get.

This is a very old issue and has spawned many recalls. The fact that this flaw occurred was the basis of some of the first DIY pump efforts. If these pumps exist, they are available for recall and replacement. Please if you are using this pump consider turning it in. But no reason to get to upset, if you own this pump you are no doubt aware of the issue.
