I’m type 2. And doctor put me on Metformin 500mg once a day. There a label warning on my bottle said that one might get lactic acidosis from this medication.
Anyone taking Metformin for a long time and experience lactic acidosis? Can you please share your experience. Thank you sooo much.
Never once in 20 years of metformin. I do take a B12 supplement because I read you can become low in that b vitamin while on metformin.
I have been on it for 28 years, big walker and swimmer. Never had a problem. I too take B12, it is recommended if on Met. Nancy50
Nope. Type 1, and I take 2 500mg doses a day to help lower my total daily dose of insulin. No issues ever, except the initial queasiness that faded after a week or so…
