Can metphormin make your heart rate go up? I was put on it yesterday and today when i was running at the gym i got a “high heart rate” warning (this has never happened before). i was running at 175 bpm!!!
My first dose of Metformin made me feel very strange, I was really frightened. After that first dose I seem to have had no further problems with the drug.

how hard was the effort of your run? i can get that high on hard runs or tough hills

it did it to me again today when i was on the elliptical not to hard of an effort just jogging.
no idea if it’s a big deal or not but miht be worth calling your doc about just to be safe
