More opinions on Apple Watch and Dexcom G5?

According to an interview I heard with a Dexcom executive, Apple does not currently allow devices like Dex transmitters to communicate directly with the watch without going through the phone. I suspect that will change in the future.
I think Bluetooth headphones will work without the phone, but unfortunately not the Dex transmitter.

With a Dex update from about a week+ ago, there are several new Watch faces that will display G5 as a complication. This is what I use as shown with a somewhat blurry photo:

Yes, just buy it and if it doesn’t work sell it on ebay. I suggest the Apple Watch 2 which has a better battery - 2 days, compared to the first one which only had one day.
The best thing is that you can set all the alarms on vibration, meaning that your kid will get a tap on the wrist if the sugar is too high/low or falling/rising too fast. In the meantime he will not have to pay attention to it at all - and that’s what I call freedom.
