New categories in Forum section

Since the number of discussions is starting to grow, I went ahead and created the following categories:

  • Type 1 Diabetes
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Insulin Pumpers
  • Treatment, Cure
  • Children with Diabetes
  • Diabetes in the News
  • General
I took the liberty to classify the existing discussions under the category where I thought they made the most sense (please message me if you feel any of them were mis-categorized).

I would like to know if anybody feels there is a need for any more categories and if so, how should they be called.

Manny, would it make sense to have a category for LADA Type 1 (Type 1.5 ?)

I can’t believe I had no clue about this type AT ALL. Specially considering that it’s exactly what happened to me:

I was originally misdiagnosed as type 2 and then called type 1, etc.

Thanks so much for bringing this up, and consider the new discussion category a done deal!

What is type 1.5?

Where can I find info on type 1.5. Is the treatment really any different? I don’t fit neatly into type 1 or type 2 catagoris. Is the C-peptide test the way to find out? Gordon
