To those lucky new PDM users, can you confirm that IOB now includes both meal and correction boluses?
per the manual:
"Status support screen
From the Status screen, press the User Info/Support button to
see details about the current insulin on board (IOB) in your body
(Figure 1-5).
I definitely don’t disagree with you as you’re more experienced with the Omnipod than I am, but in reading the new manual it does seem confusing to me. The CDE that trained me on the Omnipod said essentially what Eric mentions in the above discussion - that the current IOB feature will stay the same until at least next year or later because of FDA regulations process.
Okay, I downloaded the final manual from Insulet which says the new PDM calculates IOB from correction doses only and will not display IOB on the Status screen. I’m guessing that IOB info only appears when proceeding through the bolus procedure and only if suggested bolus calculator is enabled. Insulet is assuming the only time you would want to know IOB is before bolusing for a meal? What about wanting to know IOB before being active? You shouldn’t have to have the bolus calculator enabled in order to see it!
