Dear Jackie.
Having a hell of a time loosing any weight. Trying everything including rationing the insulin.
I think you need to get the insulin consumption down to 0.5 units per day per kg of body weight, less would be even better, in order to loose weight. at the moment I can’t do any better than 0.7 without having the BG go to the moon.
Trying to cut the carbs as low as possible.
Have switched from Lantus to levemir, seems to need more units than lantus, but I think I am not as hungry.
Super cold in our corner of siberia, but I will try to do enough exercise to cut insulin to the 0.5 range. May take a few hours per day. Can join weight watchers there is an establishment near us.
I am trying a weight loss pill called meridia suggested by the Canadian diabetes ■■■ for weight loss. At 10 mg per day does not seem to be effective. will ask GP for a 15 mg per day prescription to see if that does anything.
Let me know what you are trying.
