NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! This made me sad. I love the Freestyle!! But perhaps the new PDM will be integrated with OneTouch's new strips that allegedly require less blood then their ultra strips. but still... NOOOOOOOOOO!
I missed this announcement because I just recently started using Omnipod. I've got the freestyle PDM. I've used OneTouch before and HATE IT!!!! I'd prefer they go do Aviva Accu-Check. Still a lot less blood, much easier to work with strips and accurate testing results. Oh well...
The integrated glucometer is like Verio Pro or IQ: it has a blood sample size of 0.4 microlitres.
Omnipod PDM with abbott has 0.3, not much less ....
Verio pro is a different world with respect to the others lifescan meters
I agree. I still use my OneTouch and just manual enter my readings into the PDM. I suppose I don't mind the 'gallon of blood' because I remember the 50 gallons that AccuCheck needed back in the day :-)
