Is this why I never had children ?? …I firmly believe I could not have coped and likely would have done harm at same age as this woman …far too easy to put babes into the world and not be responsible ?
Mom is a child herself, her behavior speaks volumes about her mental status. Sounds like the children were all unsupervised and she was on her own for the most part. It’s very sad all around. Mom needed some serious help. I hope she gets some, and those twin babies are taken care of by someone else who will be there for them.
It takes a person who knows themselves to admit they didn’t want children and why. I have respect for someone who doesn’t believe they need children to complete their life. This poor mother sounds like she was in over her head and I’m not sure anyone was really helping her. Its sad all around.
Life is precious and when a child dies because of parental negilence the excuses are part of the neglect…
This makes me want to throw up…I thank God that I have my baby every day, and that I was blessed to get her, diabetes and all. I believe it’s an honor if you are chosen to have a child with diabetes cause God knows you are strong enough to handle it. I thank him every day that it was this and not brain cancer, or CF or something truly horrible, this is manageable!!! That mom’s comments make feel like she is relieved he is gone, so she does not have to deal with this…who the hell lets a toddler swim alone??? I truly hope this was not intentional neglect. god rest his precious little soul.
I know I’ve been driven insane by my children, the 3 I’ve birthed and the one I married. And you’re right, our society is not friendly to families, esp. in the US. Its shameful.
Thanks Cara B for understanding my point of view …I am very happy with my life without children and to top it off …very happy to get to know children, esp babes, of my buddies …to some of those I am Grandma or Aunt Canada 
My God…this totally blows me away. In all this, if it was the case of a young uneducated mom, who was ill prepared to deal with the realities of life, such as a child with a life threatening chronic condition…where we HER family/authorities/friends/church affiliations?? One wonders why?
Hate to say it, but find a tall oak tree. I’ll bring the rope. Do they like a single or double noose in NV? Better yet, ship her to the firing squads in UT and give them boys out there some target practice.
