I’ve been sticking with my stomach so far as I am not on Insulin yet. But once I am on insulin I may change up the sites and see what happens. I find my stomach to be the best for absorption when doing MDI. But thats just me. My issue with my thighs are is I walk A LOT. So its hard for me to think of doing somewhere else.
I have a dumb question about the 6mm vs the 9mm. Everyone has suggested trying the 6mm, but if I am having problems with the 9mm slipping out (not right away but after a day or so), wouldn’t the shorter one be more likely to slip out??
Sounds like an issue with the adhesive rather. For some people the adhesive alone is not enough and they need IV3000, medical tape, tegaderm, or SkinTac to make infusion sets stay on.
Actually the adhesive is fine, for me, Kristin. It’s not perfect like when I used it on my stomach, but it only frays a little at the edges. It’s just the canula comes out underneath or bends and lays on the surface. In a way that’s worse because I don’t know it’s happened until my numbers soar.
