I am thinking about restarting my podcast called Late Night Diabetes. I am going to do this basically for my need to vent about the frustrations of the big D (late night is when I have my problems), but I don’t want to do it alone. I am recording a demo over the next 2 days so people can hear my voice and style.
I want to bring others into this podcast and give some voices a chance to shine, either as a section/story, possibly a partner. I am hoping that if I can get going again, I would see a response. Last time, I did twelve weeks with only one response.
Anyone want to hear? I will post when ready.
I’m a big podcast fan. I listen to 3 or 4 weekly. My suggestion is this: You need to make it about the listeners, not yourself. If you just want to vent, you may not find a big audience.
People will want to seek answers to frustrations. Maybe you could identify a frustration, then expand on how you sought, then found the answer.
Best of luck
Thanks. I am not going to do it now, found out my day job is voting on unionizing, so I need to look for a new job.
Ok, I gotta ask: What is a podcast anyway??
audio broadcasts intended for storage and replay on an MP3 player. Here’s wikipedia’s definition.
I listen to them on my commute. News, commentary, fiction, music reviews, music. Education is big here too. Language is huge. Lectures from some pretty big schools. Almost always for free.
If you use an iPod then you can use iTunes to manage them. Subscribe, delete, sample new ones. There are lots of other podcast management tools. And you really don’t need a “tool” to manage them - just your browser. Google “diabetes” and "podcast.
Thanks for the explanation!
