Submit YOUR "Faces of LADA"

Next week, October 15-22, is LADA Awareness Week

To help increase understanding and reduce misdiagnosis of latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA), Diabetes Hands Foundation (DHF) and dLifeunited to create LADA Awareness Week to be recognized each year starting on the third Monday in October.

DHF and dLife — in partnership with other participating advocacy groups and people living with diabetes – will offer important information, tools, and tips for recognizing and diagnosing LADA.

Part of this project is an informative slideshow called "Faces of LADA".

Do you have LADA? Add your face to this project!

Here's how:
Send the following to Julia Telfer at telfer@dlife.com by the end of the day tomorrow (Oct. 11):
Image: .jpeg, as large as possible; horizontal looks best, but we can take vertical if that is all that is available. The picture should be either of the person who has LADA, or if it's someone writing on someone else's behalf, it would be good to get a shot of the two of them together.
Your LADA diagnosis story in 250-500 words.
The goal of this project is to send messages of hope and perseverance.
