Sugar Pixel issues

Has any one who uses a Sugar Pixel have any issue with the firmware update that was pushed thru on Saturday.. I got no notification of the update. What happened to me was over two hours I noticed no change in the number on the display. I checked my phone and found that display said 236. And my phone said 81. Yea I know I got complacent in being depending on the Pixel matching my phone. Also did a finger stick, which matched the phone.

Checking on the Pixel I found it was no longer listed in “Bluetooth” I unplug it , when the display came back it said Firmware update. Bluetooth came back and the display displayed the Bluetooth code.

Once updated it displayed firmware 1.8. Instead of the previous 1.75

Replying to myself. Just got a email from sugar pixel That they do not push thru updates .

At issue how are we to know an update is available for us to install it ourselves unless they they’ tell us that it is available.

I didn’t know there was an update available. I got into the app and googled to try and find out what the update was for, but couldn’t find anything. Do you know?

Never mind, I found this in the app when I clicked on the update!

In their response to my emails they never said what it was for or what it corrected.

You may want to mention if you are using IOS or Android. I am on Android, and mine just automatically upgraded on Friday, two days ago without any issues. I am on Version 177.0.0

It was nice to see what the update was for. However they should have sent notification of it.
