I simply cut two (approx 5 inch) strips of cloth bandage tape (high quality) and tape down the sensor in an "x" or cross pattern...right over the sensor, sensor adhesive material, and onto the skin (about an inch on all 4 ends adhering to skin). This has worked really well. I would like to try some liquid bandage adhesive, but cannot find it in stores in El Paso, Texas. I'll look in better stores when I'm in Dallas.
I thought I read somewhere that the sensor's accuracy wasn't as good if it was covered with tapes?
I have not noticed any variance.
You can buy Skin Tac from Amazon or Ebay.
Second the skintac. I get about 3 weeks out of each sensor. Prep the area well with 91% isopropol alcohol to ensure there is no dirt or skin oils. Apply skintac to the area contacted by the entire patch of the sensor. Allow to thoroughly dry. Place sensor.
When the edges of the patch begin to peel up later, a little skintac on both surfaces (skin and adhesive patch), allowed to thoroughly dry, and then pressed together again will keep it going.
You will need something like Unisolve to easily and completely remove the adhesive residue, followed up with alcohol again to get the last of the dissolved adhesive off.
If your skin is sensitive to isopropol alcohol or gets too dry using it, soap and water is an alternative, but takes more work.
